Homeless Initiative
Gethsemane Church is committed to making a difference in our community. Our homelessness initiative involves providing essential supplies, like toiletries, clothing, and food, to individuals experiencing homelessness. We package these items and distribute them throughout our community to those living on the streets or in shelters. During the holidays, we also volunteer at local shelters and donate gifts. In addition to our work with the homeless population, we have a long history of supporting young mothers, the elderly, and individuals with mental disabilities.
Food Pantry
Gethsemane Church is proud to host a Massachusetts-funded food pantry. Our pantry provides free, healthy food and essential supplies to those in need. Every third Saturday of the month, from 10 AM to 12 PM, we offer groceries, clothing, shoes, and household items. Our pantry is open to everyone, regardless of age, religion, or identification. We have volunteers on hand to assist with transportation of goods and answer questions about other resources in the community. Please note that we do not offer delivery services at this time, but our volunteers are happy to help you load your groceries into your car. We encourage you to come early, as there may be a line, and to bring your own bags or boxes if possible. Our food pantry is a welcoming and inclusive space, and we ask all visitors to be respectful of others and the church building.
